How does the custom phone number feature work?

We provide chapters with a personal phone number. Messages sent from your chapter through the app are delivered to PNMs as texts from this number. When PNMs reply, their messages appear in your chapter's inbox in the app. This feature provides a personal touch that stands out from generic group messaging platforms, while allowing chapters to keep their personal phone numbers private.

Do potential new members (PNMs) need to download the app?

No, PNMs do not need to download the app. The beauty of CampusRush lies in its simplicity for PNMs - they communicate with you via text, while you respond through the app. All you need to do is add their phone numbers to your contact list, or share your chapter's interest form/QR code with them (which we provide).

Can we personalize mass messages to PNMs so they appear more personal?

Absolutely! CampusRush allows you to send mass messages that appear personalized to each PNM. When sending a mass message, we include placeholders such as '@firstname', '@lastname', and '@fullname' that are replaced with the PNM's information when the message is sent. This allows your bulk messages to feel more personal, while saving you time.

How does the event planning and RSVP feature work?

CampusRush enables chapters to plan events and share them with PNMs. Once an event is created, you can attach it to messages and send it to PNMs. Each event has a unique RSVP link that PNMs can use to view event details and RSVP. You can view the headcount for each event in the app.

Can we target certain groups with our messages?

Yes! We currently offer three targeting options, all of which have crucial use cases.

Message all uncontacted PNMs: Allows you to send a message to all PNMs who have not yet been contacted by your chapter. No more worrying about who you have and haven't contacted!

Message all PNMs: Allows you to send a message to all PNMs. Useful for sharing event information, updates, and more.

Message all favorited PNMs: Allows you to send a message to all PNMs that your chapter has favorited. Useful for quickly sending information about invite-only events.

How can we prepare for the next recruitment cycle?

We recommend that chapters start preparing for the next recruitment cycle as soon as possible. The earlier you start, the more time you have to build relationships with PNMs. We recommend that chapters start by creating their chapter profile and creating their interest form. Once these steps are complete, you can start sharing your interest form with PNMs and collecting their information.
